PAY IT FORWARD

July 3, 2008

If you didn’t cry during this movie then this post is not for you.

While blog surfing for great South African Blogs recently, I came across ‘anything goes‘ (or black cat, I’m not sure which name Katherine prefers). I read her PAY IT FORWARD post and was instantly inspired. I felt I had to do the same.

So here it goes:

“I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this Pay It Forward exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.”

Even if nobody leaves a comment, I will choose 3 people (probably family and friends) to PAY IT FOWARD to.

Who knows what it will be? All I know is that it will be made from the heart and will make the receivers feel warm and happy…

I use the pay it forward all the time on http://www.wishuponahero.com !! If you have never heard of the site, please come check it out. Google it if you are worried that it’s not legit! Anyway, people can make wishes or grant wishes. You don’t have to do anything but read if you don’t want to! Hope you come see what I feel the fuss is all about!

How I pay it forward? My family makes birthday bookmarks and grant birthday card wishes with them. My 5 year old daughter gets these cute little cards called Bella Sara cards (she even wished for some) and any duplicates she has, she passes on to other children UNUSED, so that they can enjoy them also! It’s a great thing! She’s learning a wonderful lesson and doesn’t see it as something special, it’s just the right thing. We’ve even left $10 tip on top of the regular tip ($10) on Mother’s Day to our waitress, under a napkin, sticking out so she could see, that read “Have a Wonderful Mother’s Day!” I know it wasn’t much, but that’s all we had left after dinner!
